To learn more about AJC, visit our website at www.ajcfood.com Job Description:We are looking for an energetic problem solver with extensive import/export, transportation, and ocean freight experience to join our Operations team in Dubai. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for daily logistics operations to move cargo between Europe to all destinations. This will involve coordination among suppliers, vendors and customers to control pick-ups, transportation, warehousing, inventory control, delivery and documentation. Essential Responsibilities:�� Prepare, review, and approve documents for export loads. Handle & dispatch original documents in compliance with AJC���s payment policy.�� Coordinate customs clearance as well as inspection as required.�� Coordinate deliveries to customers and warehouses.�� Control free time of containers and review demurrage/detention invoices prior to payment.�� Review Vendor invoices and approve payment.�� Assisting internal and external customers in solving issues.�� Cooperation and coordination of work with strategic vendors.�� Cooperation & set up with carriers, forwarding companies, trucking companies, cold storages, agencies, other AJC offices to ensure a successful logistic process. Essential Skills:�� Results Oriented.�� Detail Oriented.�� Ability to Multi-Task.�� Organized.�� Ability to Prioritize.�� Problem Solver.�� Creative / Innovative.�� Good Communicator.�� Customer-Focused.�� Team player Education & Experience: �� Bachelor���s degree required.�� 3 to 7 years of international import/export, inventory, documentation, and transportation experience required. �� Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge, especially in Excel, is required.�� Candidate must be familiar with Incoterms and various modes of transportation to ensure the timely arrival of the products in the most cost-effective manner.�� Previously frozen meat products and refrigerated product experience is a plus. Language Requirements:�� Candidate is required to read, write, and, speak English fluently. �� Proficiency in a second language, especially French or Spanish is preferred.
