The starting salary package for this position is £44,904 GBP per annum (approx. $60,143 USD) including all allowances.

About the Syria Response programme:

MAG has been responding to the Syria crisis since 2013 working to support the development from conflict by finding and destroying the explosive remnants of war, so that communities can raise their families and pursue their livelihoods in a safe and secure environment, free from fear of death or injury.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Support Services (HoSS), you will be accountable for managing the development of the Logistics department. With extensive travel throughout the region you will be responsible for all procurement and logistics activity, ensuring that controls are designed, implemented, adhered to and continuously improved in line with MAG policies, good practice and donor guidelines.

About you:

As well as experience of working in a developing country, you will also need to have extensive experience of coordinating all aspects of a robust supply chain. The successful candidate will need to have excellent leadership and motivational skills and will have experience in building the capacity of a team of locally recruited staff. Excellent communication skills required to collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders. Proven experience of managing logistical controls and complex inventory & distribution supply chain, and also in leading procurement activities in a growing programme is essential.
