About SENED
Sened is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit organization established in 2013 and registered in Turkey with No. 27-15-175; It arose in response to the suffering of Syrian refugees in Turkey & internally displaced persons in Syria as a result of the war waged by the Syrian regime on its own people and torn apart the entire country. Sened works through the humanitarian work sectors to empower persons with disabilities, their families and communities, advocate for their issues and include their voice in their communities. Sened has become a specialized NGO in the field of working with persons with disabilities and their families since 2015. It takes the aspirations of the founders, persons with disabilities and their families, and the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) as a compass for its work.
Project Description:
The recent earthquakes in 11 provinces of Turkey have caused major displacement and discomfort in the lives of millions of residents. This has resulted in an emergency response to help meet basic and urgent needs of the affected people. A distribution activity has therefore been set up to deliver emergency aid to those in need and affected by the earthquake within the scope of the project.
Job Prupose
to support the Logistics team in all tasks and administration, the Logistics Assistant will be responsible expediting orders with suppliers , supporting any member of the team with warehouse, goods in, logistics, and shipping documentation.
Key Activities/Tasks/Duties
- Receiving and Supervising assets, ensuring that the items match the specifications, archiving them in Adana office as well as sending the reports to the logistics Officer to maintain the Assets lists updated.
- preparing forms in case of damage, loss, and maintenance of the assets.
- Receive furniture and input all the required information to the tracker in order to follow up.
- Monthly conducting inspections on the devices and the assets.
- Follow up the movement of the fleet and distribute daily tasks to the drivers.
- Ensure periodic check of vehicles.
- Ensure documentation on receipt of goods.
- Make sure the building is safe and well closed.
- Manage and monitor the availability of accessories, equipment, stationery, office supplies, office stock and placing orders as required.
- Organizing administrative aspects of office activities and events, including workshops, and meetings.
- ensure appropriate steps are taken to safeguard office premises, equipment and residential property (Locks, lighting, alarms, and fire equipment).
- Any other tasks shall be assigned by the line manager from time to time.
Required Qualifications (Education/Languages/Work Experience):
Essential
- Associate degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- A minimum of one year experience in a similar position.
- Intermediate level in the English language.
Desirable
- Fluent in the Arabic or Turkish language.
- Verified experience in humanitarian work and principles.
- Verified experience in dealing with donor’s policies, procedures, requirements, and compliance**.**
