In partnership with Muslim Hands International, a group with 27 members around the globe and the experience of more than 29 years, Müslüman Eller Derneği strives to work for the betterment of humanity regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender. Müslüman Eller Derneği aims to mobilize resources and provide a platform to International NGOs and donors, by engaging trustworthy Turkish organizations at both local and governmental level, focusing on the intervention areas of Education, WASH, Health, Emergency, Food Security and Livelihood. Job Title: Logistics Officer

Location: Istanbul, Turkey

Job Description:

Muslim Hands Turkey office is seeking a Logistics Officer to support the organization’s logistics and procurement activities in Turkey as well as protocol duties. The Logistics Officer will report to the Head of Operations and will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods and services to support the organization’s programs and activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate procurement activities for goods and services, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage the organization’s inventory, including the tracking of stock levels, the processing of stock movement, and the management of stock counts.
  • Ensure the timely delivery of goods and services to support the organization’s programs and activities, including the coordination of transport and delivery arrangements.
  • Facilitate MH delegations and other organizational guests.
  • Making travel, transportation, and accommodation arrangements for visiting guests, including planning agendas and making schedules for their visits.
  • Coordinating with media team and program coordinator regarding visibility materials.
  • Preparation of all kinds of supplies needed for field visits for media coverage. This involves printing, and logistic arrangements of all items (media coverage gadgets and visibility items) throughout the visit.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including taxation and labour laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of procurement and logistics activities, ensuring timely reporting and documentation of results.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Operations and other department heads to ensure alignment and coordination of logistics and procurement activities.
  • Ensure effective use and management of IT and other organizational resources.

Qualifications:

  • Turkish National
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in logistics and procurement, preferably in an NGO or international development context.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement policies and procedures, including procurement best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a results-oriented approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel within Turkey as needed.
