Logistics and Operations Manager

About the role

Main Job Purpose

The role as a logistics and distribution/operations manager is to organise the storage and distribution of aid. You’ll ensure that the right products are delivered to the right location on time and at a good cost. You will be responsible for the transportation, stock control, warehousing and monitoring the flow of goods.

As the logistics operations manager you will be a team leader who manages a distribution outlet, responsible for transacting businesses with shipping companies to facilitate smooth distribution activities. Planning and coordinates warehousing and transportation in the distribution chain.

Duration: 6 Month Contract

Location: MUST BE BASED IN UKRAINE, PREFERABLY LVIV AREA OR NEARBY

About you

Requirements

Essential:

• Undergraduate degree in Management, Logistics, Procurement, Supply
  Chain Management, or related field
• Minimum of five years demonstrated and progressive experience in
  logistics, procurement, operations management within an international development or international trade context
• Fluency in Ukrainian
• Experience of managing a team and overseeing the logistics of humanitarian aid
• Proficiency with office software, such as Microsoft Office package (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint)
• Good understanding of procurement and supply systems
• Experience in accounting and financial management is an asset

  professional demeanour.
