Summary: Responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the processing and closing of multifamily and commercial real estate loans.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Receive and distribute all incoming mail and overnight packages
  • Review loan application and supporting documentation to process good faith checks, rate lock checks and incoming wires for deposit. Assigns a loan number accordingly
  • Organize the new file set up in Lending Link and Underwriting file directory; ensuring OFAC searches, Geocoding, Borrowing Entity status, property profiles, and deposit receipts for good faith and rate lock fees are uploaded to Lending Link
  • Assist in ordering credit reports, flood certs and tax service upon direction of the Loan Administrator
  • Assist in scanning loan documents and providing support in other tasks, such as scanning, copying and printing
  • Prepares collateral package folder and file labels
  • Perform hazard insurance reviews communicating any deficiencies to the Loan Administrator and Private Banker. On occasion, communicate with the Insurance Agent to obtain the perfected evidence of insurance. Tracks Insurance status
  • Assist in closing out canceled and withdrawn files, coordinating any refund due with Accounting and Loan Servicing
  • Perform title policy review and request corrections from the title company
  • Request loan files from storage, as necessary
  • Order equipment maintenance and supplies
  • Responsible for adherence to all compliance programs, including but not limited to, completion of all required and assigned training modules by established due dates

Education And/or Experience

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates/Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 year of related experience required
  • Licensed Notary is preferred
  • Experience supporting a mortgage, real estate or mortgage banking organization is preferred

Skills

  • Detailed oriented with the ability to effectively multi-task
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Must be able to manage a large volume of work and meet deadlines under pressure
  • Must have basic knowledge of loan documentation, RESPA, USPAP, and HMDA guidelines
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 wpm
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Flexible, able to adapt to change
