Here’s where you come in:

As Livelihood and Economic Development Technical Advisor, you will ensure development and implementation of the WV Ukraine Crisis Response (UCR) Livelihoods/Economic Development (ED) Program strategy and Livelihoods/ED Technical Programming in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. You will be responsible for:

  • Drafting the UCR Livelihoods and ED strategy.
  • Supporting the development Livelihoods and ED programs.
  • Providing technical support to project teams for quality assurance.
  • Empowering and building capacities of the field staff and
  • Representing WVUCR in cluster and working groups and with relevant Ministries/stakeholders.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any area related to Livelihoods/ED, Economy, economic development, Food Security, Agriculture, Value chain Development, etc.
  • Master’s Degree in the following areas.: Economic development, Business administration, Food security is an added advantage.
  • Three to five years of technical expertise in the areas of Economic development or Livelihoods/ED.
  • Experience in capacity building processes, tools and methodologies.
  • Two years or more NGO experience in the humanitarian and development fields respectively.
  • Experience in needs assessment and project design.
  • Experience in working with UN agencies, collaborating with relevant government ministries, and relevant Livelihoods/ED donors.
  • Excellent written English, Ukrainian and Russian preferred.
  • The position requires ability and willingness to continue to function during a crisis, including during a World Vision response to a manmade or natural disaster.
  • The position requires availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally.
