Required Qualifications
- Law degree with experience in administrational work.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a law firm or multinational organization (private sector or NGO).
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and experience with laws dealing with commercial/contract administration
- and labor laws.

- Excellent command of English, Arabic, and Kurdish language.

Job Summary
The Legal and Admin Assistant position works in the Operations Department and reports to the director of Operations and provides legal and administrative support to the Operations department. This position is responsible for preparing legal documents and representing Rwanga Foundation in any required litigation or legal proceedings, drawing up legal documents, and advising the management on legal requirements.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Review and provide legal advice on MOUs, Contracts, official letters, and other legal documents.
- Provide and interpret legal information, conduct training, and disseminate appropriate legal requirements to staff.
- Prepare and draft legal documents related to leases and contracts.
- Prepare and draft official letters in Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
- Translate related documents when required.
- Obtain legal documents for staff and guests (Ashayish approvals, Residency cards, visas, etc.) and enhance knowledge on documentation or policy changes,
- Obtain updated registration certificate and any other required documents from Baghdad and KRG directorates,
- Ensure to file the income tax and social security tax are with the relevant tax departments for all the staff,
- Help Rwanga Foundation obtain necessary approvals for projects and activities,
- Follow-up on employee vetting,
- Prepare the cancellation exit procedures for international ex-pat employees leaving the organization.
- Liaise with relevant departments to ensure that appropriate courses of action have been taken where legal risks have been identified.
- Provide legal protection and risk management advice to management, especially on contract management.
- Updating and reporting on any new rules and legislation in terms of employees or organizations to the Foundation,
- Review and advise management on the legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
- Review and draft contracts, agreements, and internal policies and ensure that they are following all statutory or legal requirements in Iraq and KRI.
- Performs routine typing and clerical duties with photocopying and in-house document binding
- Maintains an efficient and well-organized filing system for the department and ensures items are archived and disposed of per company guidelines
- Provide ad hoc and regular reports, including recommendations, on a regular basis to the direct Supervisor.
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned by the Director of Operations.
