Newcastle College require a dedicated, enthusiastic and qualified person to take on the role of Lecturer in Travel and Tourism, specifically delivering across Higher Education programs.

The main responsibilities of this role include effective planning, teaching, learning and assessment of higher degree students within this discipline, development of skills, behaviours and knowledge and ensuring the curriculum offer is current and relevant, and the department is compliant with any internal or external audits/inspections.

The role will support existing Curriculum staff in preparing for delivery and assessment of high-quality learning programs across Travel and Tourism provision, as well as undertaking a range of administration duties.

This post requires a strong background in Travel and Tourism and the candidate must have a proven track record of professional and vocational expertise.

The candidate must have a vocational relevant qualification to (Level 7) with relevant industry experience, and also hold English and Math’s qualifications at level 2. It is desirable that the candidate has experience of working within an HE/FE sector.

An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to demand.
