Overall team / department purpose

The Coordinator – Learning & Development will work closely with our customers to coordinate and plan responsive learning and development activities. They will have responsibility for the coordination of a range of learning and development activities and projects, as well as ensuring the development and maintenance of robust learning and development systems and processes.

To work in collaboration with the People Services team in ensuring the Group’s People Strategy is supported and delivered.

Key role priorities

*This role is responsible for providing a full range of L&D support ensuring the effective implementation of all processes.

It is also responsible for the provision of first line advice and support to line managers in respect of the implementation of effective L&D practices, policies, procedures and processes

Key working relationships

*The role holder is required to act as a first point of contact for all internal customers in respect of L&D policies and processes.

External to the Group, the role holder is required to respond to requests for information from external parties, working with the L&D Business Partners where more complex information is needed

Main duties & responsibilities

– To provide a professional learning and development support service for employees and managers including arranging events, coordinating networks, liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

– Working in collaboration with L&D colleagues and other departments to ensure learning needs meet the business priorities.

– Maintain accurate and easily accessible records and processes, for all learning and development activities.

– Co-ordinate the delivery of training throughout the business, working with the L&D Business Partner/Trainer.

– Support the Business Partner to maintain e-learning packages and reports for colleagues across the business.

– The post holder will be expected to ensure compliance with all legal obligations concerning the protection of data concerning colleagues, customers and 3rd parties.

– Maintain Learning Calendar – working with key stakeholder including Project Teams

– To read, understand and demonstrate a commitment to the Group’s Employee Charter.

– Expected to ensure compliance with all legal obligations concerning the protection of data concerning employees, customers and third parties.

– Adapt a proactive approach to identify and mitigate risks to your business area by informing your line manager and contribute to updating the risk register.

– To take responsibility for your own health and safety and that of your colleagues in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), whilst following the Group’s Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.

– To work in a variety of locations including premises not directly under the control of the Group

– Some flexibility over working hours is necessary to meet the requirements of the job
