The Organization
The Water Trust empowers the poorest rural communities to provide their children safe water and a healthy, clean environment to develop to their potential. Since 2008, The Water Trust has partnered with more than 800 communities in Masindi and Kiryandongo, benefitting more than 300,000 people. In 2017, The Water Trust developed an innovative savings group-based approach to increase the sustainability of rural water and the impact of hygiene and sanitation promotion. The organization is currently scaling this novel program across more than 400 communities a year in western Uganda across Ugandan and refugee communities. Over the next three years, The Water Trust aims to scale up its programs through direct implementation and technical assistance partnerships, while continuing to partner with researchers to find new ways to raise the bar for impact and sustainability. The Opportunity
The Water Trust seeks a consultant to conduct a two-day, in-person staff training in Uganda on leadership and management.
Expected Deliverables for the training:
The trainer/organisation should be able to provide a detailed plan on how to deliver on the topics listed below:
- Performance management (NGO)
- Leadership skills
- People management skills
- Team building and management
- Mentorship and grooming of lower staff in the department
- Delegation processes and management
Duration of the Training:
- The training will last for two days in the period of January – February 2023 as agreed by both parties
Qualifications/Skills/Competencies of the Trainer:
- At least a minimum of a postgraduate qualification in any Management/ Legal/ Governance related field obtained from a reputable institution
- Previous experience in training teams on similar topics with latest trends in NGO field
- Past experience of similar work with companies in the Ugandan setting will be an advantage
How to apply
Interested parties are requested to **submit their proposal **no later than January 16, 2023 before 5:00 pm EAT. Interested individuals or firms are requested to submit technical and financial proposals for the task. The proposal should among other things indicate the Curriculum Vitae of the person(s) that will undertake the assignment. No paper applications or applications by email will be accepted.
Proposals will be opened on 17th and each bidder shall be given feedback if awarded or not. The Water Trust does not charge a fee at any stage of its contracting process nor request any information related to bank accounts.
