Our stack

We are working with Nodejs / Vue.js / Ionic / Capacitor / Typescript / GraphQL stack for both our web and mobile apps – while our micro-service backend architecture is written in Go and runs on Kubernetes.

Our webapp is SSR that requires more care and love than a normal SPA. Knowledge of best practice for core web vitals is also a big plus.

We developed our TV app with React Native.

We are currently migrating our Mobile app to React Native that means Ionic and capacitor will soon to be gone.

Your role:

• Lead and manage a team of 3 frontend developers and be responsible for their personal and professional growth
• Work on building A/B tests, developing features, increasing the observability of the website, and creating landing pages
• Support the SEO team in conception, prototyping, and development of new features, iterating existing ones, and constantly improving the existing codebase to ensure high maintainability and extensibility
• Provide high impact contributions that prioritize both bettering the streaming experience of our users and directly influencing our technical basis by improving the development activities for our front end developers

In addition, for this particular role we are looking for:

• A certain level of mastery and 3-5 years of experience in Frontend engineering
• Experience with a modern JS framework, ideally worked with TypeScript and/or Vue.js before, and some experience with hybrid apps using Ionic/Cordova/Capacitor
• Someone with a side project/startup (failed or successful) or entrepreneurial spirit
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team, closely collaborating with other Frontend Developers, Backend Developers & Product Managers
• Fluent English

We have started to slowly get back to our new offices at the historic Backfabrik, where we will work in a hybrid mode. If you do not live in Berlin, we provide relocation and visa support but are not a remote-only company.
