The Need

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence by 2030, we are seeking an Engagement Lead.

This position is based in Sydney, Australia and reports to the Engagement Director. There are 2 openings for this job position.

The Position

We are seeking an Engagement Lead to join the team as with an audacious growth and support goals leading up to 2030. This role will play a huge part in achieving these goals by collaboratively developing plans and then actioning them to increase the number and value of financial supporters. The strategy developed is varied and requires a multi-channel approach including; platform/conference moments, partnerships (both individuals and institutional such as influencers, churches and denominations), socials, products, and more.

Responsibilities

The Lead is a part of the Engagement Division which reports to the Director, Engagement, and exists within the wider Department of Marketing & Partnerships. The Lead will be responsible for:

  • Collaboratively developing plans, activities and process with the Director of Engagement that fit towards the strategy for channels that drive the organisation-led acquisition goal for financial supporters.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing team to action the plans, activities and processes to achieve strategy and goals.
  • Be responsible for implementation and execution of plans for each channel according to set strategy.
  • Be a key stakeholder in developing mass level supporter journeys.
  • Ideate, support, and potentially develop products that serve the various channels.
  • Ongoing management of products created for different channel audiences.

Skills, Experience And Attributes

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • Demonstrated success in fundraising or growth in revenue targets.
  • Demonstrated experience in inputting to strategic plans and then show success in developing and actioning relevant plans to strategy.
  • Experience in ideation, creation and management of products in some form.
  • Experience in relationship management of partners and developing personal and professional networks.
  • Excellent speaker ability (verbal communication of a topic).
  • Salesforce experience valued or other CRM platforms.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.
  • Resourceful in nature.
  • Driven by goals and targets.
  • Demonstrates high capacity as well as healthy rest.
