Late Shift Network Engineer (Remote)

To reinforce our Networking team we are searching for medior Network Engineer who is going to support our client (European bank) in transformation of IT infrastructure and will help us to set up new standards in banking industry.

You will be supporting BAU activities (Business As Usual) – usually simple and scripted tasks with execution time starting at 22:30 or 01:00 with pre and post checks and in case of issues investigating reasons for failures.

Working pattern Mon-Fri 18:00-02:00

Your responsibilities

Provide support for all Network Services (Security, Datacenter, Voice and R&S)

Proactive monitoring of our customers’ networks and infrastructure

• Rapid restoration of end-point services
• Take ownership of issues, promptly responds to alarms, alerts and customer raised requests
• Document all issues within the incident ticketing system
• Work with internal & external resources to resolve issues
• Identify and escalate any issues that can’t be resolved by L2 resources
• Understand all managed services offered and client environments
• Demonstrate an understanding of effective troubleshooting skills and the ability to use them
• Provide support during working days 18:00-02:00 shif

Our requirements

• CCNA level network engineer (at least 1 year of experience)

configuring cisco routers and switches – VLANs, routing protocols, switchports, access-lists

• At least 1 year of working with telecommunications networks
• Knowledge of network and telecommunications protocols and standards of data infrastructure tools and services
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
• Basic Knowledge of Security Devices (Firewalls and Proxy)
• Basic Knowledge of Data Center Devices (F5 LB, Cisco Nexus)
• Experience with Monitoring and Ticketing Systems (Service Now)
• Great Oral and written communication together with experience to communicate directly with Customer
