As a Labourer, in Flexibles, Glenrothes, you will take a customer service approach with a view that the services you provide are there to support the efficient management of your workspace and production environment. As a Labourer, your duties will be varied and will include activities that support other departments and personnel, such as cleaning, assembling, lifting, moving, and offering general assistance and support to the production and site teams. You will be responsible for the cutting and preparation of materials to meet production demands and ideally come from a Labouring/Workshop Assistant background within a manufacturing environment. In addition to the cutting and preparing of materials you will be involved in varied tasks such cleaning, assembling, lifting, moving and offering general assistance and support to the production and site teams.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate designated machine safely and competently, ensuring that all HSE and housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Carry out designated tasks as instructed.
- Forklift driver with various movements of pallets and Pipe around the facility.
- Assist in keeping the facility in a clean and safe state at all times.
- Operate forklift as and when required.
- Assist machine operators as and when required.
- Empty swarf containers when required.
- Assist Fitting department when required.
- Assist Maintenance department when required.
- Make sure workflow is maximised by moving components to the correct stations.
- Assist management team when required.
- Demonstrate awareness of company objectives, policies and procedures.
- Promote and adhere to health and safety policies and procedures without exception.
- Ensure all company policies surrounding, health & safety, quality requirements and housekeeping are met.
- Adheres to inspection criteria, policies and procedures without exception.
- Travel as and when required.
- Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager.
Qualifications
- Forklift licence and pipe handling (essential).
- Banksman and slinging qualified (essential).
- Driving licence (essential).
Experience
- Forklift experience of various movements of pallets and Pipe (essential).
