The Opportunity
The first years of alcemy were characterized by the development of our technology, together with our early adopter SME customers. Since our market entry just over a year ago, our cement and concrete software is now running steadily at 7 customers in Germany and the USA, including some of the largest producers in the world. Now that most of them have been enthusiastically using our software, the next step is to grow the adoption of our software across the organizations. With the help of our recently closed 10 M€ financing round, we are now looking for a Senior Key Account Manager.
As a Key Account Manager you would be responsible for:
- Acquisition and management of key accounts along the entire customer journey, from identification to first contact, to contract negotiations, to communicating our ROI to key decision makers, to accompanying group-wide roll-outs
- Responsible for our growth into more plants within key accounts and thus for an important part of our revenue growth and share-of-wallet growth until the next funding round
- Through your expertise in cement and concrete technology and close customer contact, you serve as a valuable sparring partner for the further development of our technology for our product teams
Requirements
- Slowing global warming motivates you
- Cement/concrete background knowledge to quickly understand alcemy’s value proposition and thoroughly discuss it with subject matter experts from our (potential) customers
- Understanding for general dynamics and procurement processes of larger cement and concrete producers
- Existing network within the cement and concrete industry
- You have gained prior experience in key account management, sales or are motivated to progress in this area of expertise
- Business-fluent in English (writing, speaking and presenting), German is a plus
- Living within one train distance of Berlin, willing to come to Berlin every ~9 weeks and to travel to our customers when necessary

- Our team works hybrid, i.e. we have an office in Berlin, but everyone is free to choose his or her work location. The only restriction is that Berlin must be within a day’s travel distance by train. To ensure interpersonal contact, we organize a team week on site every 9 weeks. During these weeks, we try to focus less on daily work and more on evening activities, setting goals and strategy, and joint development.
IN THE FIRST MONTH
You will…
- Complete our onboarding and get to know all team members
- Receive detailed introductions to the various components of our product portfolio from cement to concrete and from machine learning to customer configuration
- Meet every existing customer and attend sales and customer meetings
- Have talked 1-1 with every commercial team member (marketing, sales, success & solutions) to understand the whole customer journey
- Dive deep into our existing business cases
WITHIN THREE MONTHS
You will…
- Take over the responsibility for your first two key accounts
- Have carried out your first structured market segmentation, knowing which new key accounts you will target over which channels in the following months
WITHIN SIX MONTHS
You will…
- Have had your first success with one of your key accounts, e.g. got the commitment to roll-out within a country or a clear timeline with milestones to do so
- Have in-depth conversations with our product team to give feedback on required features to grow our ARR

- Short 1:1 get-to-know video call with one of our commercial employees
- A homework assignment that is relevant to your actual work
- A team-fit interview (45 minutes) with 2 of your future team members
- A role-specific interview (90 minutes) with 2 of our commercial employees
