For Saudi Arabia, we are seeking a Key Account Manager (f/m/d) for the railway sector, to represent DB E.C.O., namely Consulting activities, in the country and to lead and manage the consulting tender proposals to be delivered on time, quality and budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent DB in front of the client and act as Key Account
  • Maintain and develop the network of relevant stakeholders: government authorities, professional communities, potential clients, business partners, etc.
  • Monitor market trends in railway sectors (both private and public) and prepare market reports and recommendations for country and regional management to ensure implementation of winning strategies for bids
  • Be the owner of sales funnel for the country and maintain up-to-date knowledge with regards to all relevant opportunities within the country

  • Develop, lead, prepare and submit bids (technical and commercial offers) within customer defined timeframes, budgets, and requirements
  • Lead all aspects of the bidding process to drive collaborative working with virtual teams in planning & design, producing and submitting high quality tender responses
  • Coordinate all internal and external interfaces involved in the bidding phases
  • Analyse the requirements of tender documents and explain them to different management levels within the company
  • Support the sales unit and maintain close cooperation with the technical departments
  • Make certain that all clients’ questions are answered, and their needs are met
  • Guarantee a cost-effective and high-quality tender and ensure that the bid process is compliant, in line with our company’s policies and procedures.

  • Assist assigned program and project managers for the projects in the country with stakeholder management and key accounts relationship
  • Analyze and prepare recommendations for country and regional management to improve on project quality and delivery in the country

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in engineering or economics
  • Minimum 7 years’ relevant experience in the rail or related technical (automotive, aviation, manufacturing) industry
  • Experience in dealing with key stakeholder both internally and externally
  • Customer orientation and ability to understand requirements and apply technical skills to create a winning solution
  • Excellent team and project management capability, including the ability to work under pressure and manage different bids successfully, working within tight deadlines
  • Proactive, self-starter mentality, whilst maintaining a positive attitude towards their work and others with the ability to educate and influence colleagues
  • Experience working with international teams across many disciplines
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel in order to meet business needs
  • High confidence in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe software
  • Native Arabic and fluency in English required, additional language skills, especially German, would be desirable
  • Excellent technical writing skills and the experience of generating compelling proposal content
