All Hands and Hearts

In July 2022, southeastern Kentucky experienced record levels of rainfall which resulted in catastrophic flash flooding. As soon as it was safe to do so, All Hands and Hearts deployed a Disaster Assessment Response Team (DART) and immediately began connecting with local organizations to identify areas of greatest need. Initial work included transportation of clean water and essential hygiene kits as well as preparing meals for affected community members – but that is only the beginning.

All Hands and Hearts has committed to launching a six-week flood relief program completing our traditional response efforts including item salvage, mucking and gutting and mold sanitation. Alongside that work, we will continue to work with the local community to identify other areas in which we can be of assistance. We are now accepting volunteers to join us in Perry County, Kentucky starting as soon as Saturday, August 6, 2022 and continuing through September 11. There is absolutely no cost to volunteer and there is no minimum time commitment. Join us today!
