Mission

Reporting to the Kaizen Promotion Manager, the Continuous Improvement Technician’s main mission will be to act towards increasing Productivity and Efficiency at CJR, supporting the teams in implementing continuous improvement programmes, practices and culture.

Responsibilities

  • Accompany and support Project Leaders in the implementation of Kaizen Events;
  • Support the Project Leaders in the development of Standards and me-improvement outputs arising from Kaizen Events;
  • Perform the Process confirmation follow-ups of Kaizen Events and respective reporting to the teams, Leaders and Top Management;
  • Comply with the Annual Plan of Follow-ups and Audits to the Daily Kaizen of the Teams as well as the Obeya Rooms of the Construction and Installation Projects, with coaching of the teams in the fulfilment of the standards, identification of improvement opportunities and realisation of the associated follow-up reports;
  • Identify Opportunities for Improvement within the Organisation, with proposal of Kaizen Events;
  • Support the dissemination of the standards developed and Lessons Learned through training actions for the employees involved in the Processes;
  • Promote the identification and definition of improvements among team leaders and employees and feed the bank of ideas for their development;
  • Comply with the Strategy to be followed by Kaizen in the Organisation;
  • Comply with the Kaizen standards;
  • Promote a culture at all levels of the organisation of continuous improvement, waste reduction, aiming at the efficiency and effectiveness of the processes;
  • Promote commitment and change management among employees;
  • Maintain a strict sense of professional ethics, confidentiality and privacy and strictly comply with the Organization Policies, being an example for the whole organization of compliance with practices, regulations and Kaizen methodologies.

Main Tasks

  • Support the Mission Control Room update [control room and monitoring of Kaizen Events];
  • Support the Team Leaders and employees in the elaboration of Standards associated to the implemented improvements;
  • Support in carrying out reinforcement/revision of the Daily Kaizen Teams when the need is identified;
  • Participate in Lessons Learned Workshops on the implementation of Kaizen Events, with the Project teams;
  • Promote training actions to employees in continuous improvement tools.

Profile

  • Higher Education in Engineering (Civil or Industrial Management valued), Management or similar areas;
  • Intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Good knowledge of Office 365 tools;
  • Fluency in English and Spanish;
