The Justice Traffic Division currently has four full time (37hrs) Administrator vacancies, and all four posts are based at Gable Cross Police Station, Swindon. Two of these posts are permanent and the other two are 12 month FTC. The highest scores will be offered the permanent positions first.

The Justice Traffic Division plays a pivotal role in Criminal Justice providing the link between the Force and external organisations to ensure the smooth and effective management of traffic cases.

The Administrator roles are fundamental to the overall process ensuring that all traffic cases are thoroughly investigated in accordance with both national and local standards ensuring that targets are consistently met and that legal requirements and Force Policy are adhered to in respect of all traffic files and related matters.

Investigations into Road Traffic Collisions are monitored and managed from commencement to the end including court processes.

The successful applicants will need to have had experience of working under pressure, and manage a number of their own caseloads, to a high degree of accuracy, with the ability to problem solve whilst using their own initiative.

An effective communicator is also essential as the very nature of this role involves regular contact with a variety of individuals including court staff, police officers and members of the public. As well as being competent in the use of computers, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

The Justice Division has recently been the subject of significant changes brought about by local and national requirements. This is likely to continue and so you will be expected to adapt and change as these arise.

You will be working as part of a team of Administrators and whilst it is important that you can act independently you must also be able to support the team to achieve its aims.

All FTC/secondments have the potential to go permanent in the future.
