Junior Software Engineer 100% (m/w/d)

You are a motivated Software Engineer with expertise in C++. At PXL Vision, you will support the design, development and maintain our robust and scalable software solutions. You will join a growing core tech team that is working on challenging topics in machine learning, computer vision and data processing. In this role, you will actively shape the next generations of the software infrastructure that all of our products are built on, and thereby drive the direction of our company.

What You Bring

• Collaborate with experienced engineers, product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for software designs, APIs, and system integrations.
• Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and adherence to best practices.
• Support the automation of repetitive tasks and the improvement of CI/CD workflows.
• Assist in optimizing code and systems to improve performance, learning to identify and address potential bottlenecks.
• Receive mentorship from senior developers and actively participate in knowledge-sharing activities to grow your technical skills.
• Help identify and troubleshoot software issues, developing your skills in debugging and root cause analysis.

Our Tech Stack: C++23 cross platform (Linux, Windows, iOS, Android, WebAssembly), OpenCV, Eigen, ONNXRuntime, Boost, pybind11, docker – Java17, Spring Boot, ActiveMQ, Elastic APM – Various wrappers to native or cross platform APIs (Python, Java, Obj-C)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Min. 1 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on C++.
• Familiarity with other programming languages such as Python or Java.
• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent English communication skills.
