Junior Lecturer

We are currently looking to recruit a Junior Lecturer to be part of our growing team involved in the delivery of professional accountancy and finance training. This opportunity is for fully qualified finance and accountancy professionals with a passion for teaching to be part of our world-class tutor team.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery of accountancy programs through online or face-to-face models. These will be delivered at our PhoenixFT headquarters or client premises, primarily in the UAE.
  • Specialise in the areas of management accounting and corporate finance.
  • Assist in updates to course material and development of new course content as and when required.
  • Manage and mentor cohorts of students studying both remotely and face-to-face and support their preparation towards professional body exams including ACCA.
  • Use insights gained from course delivery to develop learning methods and interventions that match the evolving training needs of learners.
  • Assist in the design and development of progress tests and full assessments consistent with the standards of the professional body exams that learners are preparing to take.
  • Mark and assess students’ work, providing constructive feedback that would allow them to improve their exam room performance.
  • Work closely with the customer service teams to organize and maintain documentation on learner’s progress including attendance and assessment results
  • Being a team player and supporting ad-hoc initiatives aimed at improving learners experience or institutional branding which may include being involved in podcasts, videos or posts on social media.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required

  • Qualified professional (ACCA, CIMA or CMA) with proficiency in the areas of management accounting and corporate finance.
  • Previous teaching experience is beneficial but not essential
  • 1-2 years’ prior experience in a finance/accounting or commercial role is desirable
