The Finance and IT Team is responsible for the preparation of the annual financial statements, all accounting issues, financial controlling and reporting. In addition, the team ensures application support for all IT requests, is responsible for IT security and provides advice on all all hardware and software-related issues.

To support the Finance and IT team at our headquarters in Cologne, we are looking for a (Junior) Financial Controller/Analyst (m/f/d) to start on 1 August.

Our team is looking forward to an open-minded personality who likes to contribute to an existing team in an innovative and motivated way in order to advance visions together. As a (Junior) Financial Controller/Analyst, you will support timely reporting and be involved in the further development of standards and systems. Abbreviations such as BI, AI, IT, ERP should not scare you, but motivate you to help shape processes in a new and efficient way.

Your responsibilities:

  • Supporting the timely preparation and analysis of monthly and quarterly reports
  • Preparation of statistical analyses, reports, evaluations and forecasts
  • In cooperation with the team, further development of reporting standards
  • Introduction of new perspectives by analyzing, structuring and optimizing long-established processes
  • Analysis and optimization of cost structures and monitoring of operational performance
  • Supporting the establishment of tools to ensure standardized reporting
  • Contributing to the further development of a modern, timely and future-oriented controlling system
  • Carrying out various ad-hoc analyses and deriving decision proposals for the Head of Finance and the Executive Board

Your profile:

  • You have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • You have solid understanding of accounting principles and controlling
  • You are confident in using common Office applications; experience with BI tools, SAP or other accounting systems is an advantage
  • You have a high affinity for IT and are interested in process management
  • You demonstrate a careful and systematic way of working
  • You have good communication and analytical skills – both in German and English
