Role
The Junior Coordinator is responsible for logistics and administration back-office support
required for Kamara and associated projects. The role is an essential support function for
operational and project efficiency, providing direct support to the Operations Coordinator, Head
of Risk Management and General Manager (UK).

What We Are Looking For
This role is suited to someone who has very strong organisational capacity, ability to work at
pace, attention to detail and process-oriented approaches.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Implementation and tracking of scheduling for Kamara’s operational requirements, in
    liaison with the Operations Coordinator, such as project-kick off meetings,
    onboarding/offboarding, project catch-ups, final deliverables, internal convening
  • Oversee on-boarding and off-boarding of contractors (contract drafting, briefing on
    expenses, documentation checks, exit interviews etc)
  • Coordination of translation, maintenance of translator relationships and
    availabilities/deliveries
  • Support to Kamara and external consultants in project elements as and when requested
    (for example creation of digital surveys, setting up project folders, providing templates
    under Kamara directive)
  • Contact management, including inputting to and updating Kamara’s contacts database,
    logging meetings, following up as required, and maintaining friendly and accessible
    relationships
  • Coordination and implementation of travel bookings, meeting/event scheduling, internal
    team convening (e.g., in-person or remote)
  • Ability to follow up with Finance and Operations on: consultant and project expenses,
    coding of expenditure, project milestones achieved
  • Additional tasks as assigned by Operations Coordinator or General Manager (UK)

    It is essential that candidates have:
  • Minimum of 18months professional experience in role(s) requiring coordination and
    administration of multiple simultaneous projects under time/resource pressure
  • Strong organisational efficiency and communication skills
  • Ability to combine professionalism, respect of confidentiality and personable rapport
    with both staff and consultants
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • English (spoken and written)
    The candidate must also have at least one of the following preferred experiences:
  • Experience working across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in civil society; knowledge, risk or impact management
  • Other languages
    Terms
    Candidates from United Kingdom and Germany may be eligible for a permanent position from
    the outset. For other European (or similar timezone) residents, an initial 1 year fixed-term
    consultancy (subject to standard probation and termination provisions) with the potential to
    evolve into a full-time permanent position.
    We work remotely but meet regularly in London.
    Remuneration will be commensurate to level of experience and an indicative range will be given
    to those shortlisted. The overall range is $USD35-45K per annum equivalent, based on
    experience.
