We are recruiting for a Junior Cargo Account Manager for Intradco Global to join our successful team in Dubai Office.

We would be keen to speak with candidates bringing first experience from working in the freight forwarding or air charter industry, but passion for aviation and ambition to succeed outweighs the need for experience as full training will be provided.

It would also be a benefit for the candidates bringing fluency in another language – French, Arabic or Spanish are highly desirable.

We ask for candidates to bring a bachelor’s degree, a relatable discipline such as Aviation Management, Events Management or Business Management is most advantageous.

The niche and specialized industry of air animal transport requires a wide range of skills that go beyond traditional air cargo brokerage, so enthusiasm, ambition to learn and a keen eye for detail is important. The most essential single factor is the ability to make strong relationships with customers and airlines, so bringing charisma and effective negotiation skills to the role is essential.

Purpose of the role

  • Support and contribute to the growth of Intradco in the MEA region:
  • Pro-actively identify, target and secure business opportunities for all aspects of the Intradco product in MEA region.
  • Managing all commercial aspects of a cargo charter flight from initial request, quoting and following up with the client and airline through to the booking of the flight.
  • Handle operational elements of the flight through to completion, either directly or by supporting the operations team.
  • Maximise business opportunities by offering tailored solutions to meet client requirements within budgetary and operational restrictions whilst making suitable profit for the company.
  • Generate and manage a portfolio of clients in line with our internal tiered system through networking opportunities, market research for new or warm leads and pier recommendations.
  • Contribute towards innovative solutions, processes, product development that help keep Intradco at the forefront of specialized Live Animal logistics, and other niche cargo verticals.
  • To help continue a culture of creative thinking, precise execution, and fun throughout the whole Intradco team.

Key Job Responsibilities

Flight Quoting

  • Communicate effectively with aircraft providers and other suppliers for charter offers.
  • Negotiate with aircraft providers when necessary to procure best value for clients.
  • Evaluate suitable commission based on various evaluation points.
  • Ensure timely offer with detailed and accurate information provided to clients.
  • Follow up regularly and work towards confirmation.

Flight Booking

  • Ensure all contracts, insurance and regulatory matters are accurate, legally compliant and that company requirements are met.
  • Verify supplier contracts in detail and ensure all terms comply with the company charter agreements.
  • Issue flight briefs with all flight related information.
  • Track flight progress and keep clients up to date with operational updates and flight movements.

Relationship Management

  • Liaise with clients to identify requirements and source suitable, competitive aircraft charter solutions.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with both key clients and new business leads to maximise business opportunities and increase client loyalty.
  • Ensure clients are always kept up to date and informed of any development linked to specific enquiries or flight bookings.
  • Visit clients in person when and if required.
  • Develop and maintain good and strong relationships with airlines / operators.
  • Business Development
  • Use initiative to identify new potential areas for business development.
  • To proactively research, identify and grow business opportunities in new and existing markets to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Secure profitable new clients through cold calling an/or face to face meetings when possible and appropriate.

Operational management

  • Operationally manage complex air charter/freight/project movements. This will include but not limited to the following specialized niches – Including but not limited to Automotive, Defense, Aid, Live Animal, Event logistics, Perishables, Foodstuffs and other cool chain industries.
  • Be a first point of contact for key clients to discuss, design and execute operational plans for their respective projects.
  • Tailor the existing operational processes and create standard operations procedures for IG/CF that will be implemented, followed and reviewed on a regular basis
  • Provide customs advice to both clients and internal Intradco Global team for the purpose of adhering to correct global customs protocols, providing clients with custom entries, and managing stall/ULD logistics
  • Foster a highly collaborative approach to market focused solutions, encouraging excellent intra-team communication at all levels.
  • Positively communicate cargo operations protocols and improvements with the team.

Information Management

  • In a timely manner, as defined by the Manager, record all pertinent customer prospect information and sales activity in the CRM system.
  • Carry out all administrative duties relating to a flight booking by coordinating with the various departments within Intradco and Chapman Freeborn including but not limited to legal, accounts and compliance.
  • Keep up to date on latest operational capabilities of aircraft, airports and handlers and latest aircraft availability and ensure updates are shared with the team.
  • Support and develop internal business development tools such as regional supplier/airline lists, key client lists and regional events calendar.

Marketing

  • Attend and represent the organisation at agreed trade shows, conferences and industry events.
  • Ensure that all marketing material is in line with Group Marketing procedures.
  • Suggest creative ideas to help boost the companies brand in the region.
  • Group policies and procedures (Business Intelligence, Compliance, Finance, HR, IT, Legal)
  • To undertake all activities in accordance with applicable group policies and procedures so as to ensure that the interests of the Group and individual corporate entities are protected at all times.
  • At all times to ensure that legal and commercial risks (to the extent relevant to the post holder role) are identified and minimized through effective communication with applicable stakeholders as well as relevant support function departments and, when necessary Board of Directors.

Other

  • To carry out any other duties within the competence of the role holder, as requested (including additional working hours as and when required).
  • To travel when required in line with business needs.
  • Be aware of and comply with the company policies.
  • Keep up to date with industry changes, procedures and requirements relating to job role.
  • Participate in a rotating out of hour’s duty rota within the Intradco team as and when required.
