The New Consumer Health Company is recruiting for a Vice President of Procurement Excellence, to be located at its world headquarters in Skillman, NJ.

The Vice President of Procurement Excellence is responsible for driving alignment between the business and functional strategy of Procurement for the New Consumer Health Company, globally. The billions of spend in scope spans a broad portfolio of direct and indirect categories, requiring strategic business and industry engagement to establish a reliable, resilient and effective supply base for the company. The Vice Preside of Procurement Excellence will lead the development of a vision for world class end-to-end procurement processes including, but not limited to, Category Management, Supplier Management, Sourcing, Contracting, Requisition-to-Pay activities, Innovation, Talent Management, and Digital Strategy. The team under this role will develop the capability to predict market movements like inflation and deflation across all categories and will also be crucial to drive insights and innovative thinking across the organization.
The Vice President of Procurement Excellence will be accountable to establishing long-range financial targets, including cost and working capital improvement, in line with the long-range financial plan of the business. Further, the leader will shape and deliver a roadmap against a balanced value proposition including risk management, innovation, environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), and procurement process excellence. The leader will also be accountable for the effective integration of acquired assets into procurement processes and the procurement related dispositions of divested assets. The leader must embrace agile ways of working and will be accountable to developing and recruiting world class talent. The Vice President of Procurement Excellence will be a member of the Procurement Leadership Team and engage with Boards across the New Consumer Health Company.
Key Responsibilities
Develop an inspirational functional vision and strategy to establish a world class procurement organization and supply base that the New Consumer Health Company can leverage to create a competitive advantage
Align procurement’s functional strategies with the company strategy and goals
Coach and recruit world class talent
Deliver ESG strategies to achieve elements of New Consumer Health’s Health Lives Mission
Advance financial policy and responsible supplier and procurement standards
Discover, design and build fit for purpose procurement process solutions, including the implementation of a world class digital strategy, use of business process outsourcing, and deployment of internal resources
Establish and deliver procurement strategies and solutions for risk, resilience and market intelligence
Support due diligence and execute the integration/disposition of acquired/divested assets
Engage with executive leadership in key supplier relationships
Cultivate a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion
Benchmark industry best practices and continuously advance procurement capabilities
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree is required, an MBA or other advanced degree is strongly preferred
A minimum of 15 years of working experience in procurement or a related discipline is required
Comprehensive knowledge of and extensive experience with procurement business processes, practices and technologies, including experience deploying them across businesses, functions, and geographies is required
Demonstrated leadership and deployment of best practices in ESG strategies is required
Leadership, communication, influencing, and collaboration skills are required
Experience in identifying and harnessing customer oriented innovative solutions is required
Proven track record delivering against a balanced portfolio of key performance indicators (KPIs) is required
Ability to influence and understand the diverse needs of stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain) is required
Leader management experience and talent development is required
Experience leading a large, global organization is required
Travel up to 10% domestic & international may be required
