Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age and have a HS Diploma or equivalent. Requires exceptional interpersonal and verbal communications skills. Must have a valid Tyco forklift driver’s license. Significant knowledge of the material movement transactions in SAP required. Must be able to work in a sitting position 90% of the time. Balancing/Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Climbing/Crawling. Reaching above shoulder, at waist & below waist. Handling (gripping, holding, grasping) both hands. Talking (person to person, on phone, in group settings). Hearing (person to person, on phone, in group settings). Vision (near & far, peripheral & depth).
The following training is required for this job position.
Applicable Safety Training related to specific job tasks 80% minimum pass rate. ISO 9001 Quality Policy and all job specific procedures, work instructions, and use of applicable forms. Skills Assessment Level 1 and Enhanced Driver Test (30 days). Skills Assessment Level 2 (60 days). Skills Assessment Level 3 and MM Training Assessment (90 days). HazMat Training and Certification (within 6 months)
DUTIES
Following verbal instructions and using own independent judgment, transports with a lift truck supplies, material and product between production, assembly, and shipping areas. Verifies count on in-process and finished materials by visually checking or weight counting.
Record data on material completion, CNS removal, or transfer tickets with the use of a scanner or other means. Verifies the correct counts and part numbers.
Loads and unloads trucks and van trailers by hand or with forklift. Verifies count, type and condition of material received from fabrication and trucking firms.
Reports/records type and quantity of damaged material received for items shipped directly to assembly area. Notates damage on receiving slips for material control and completes a shortage / damage report.
Receives incoming materials, parts and supplies from other areas and outside vendors, verifying quantity on packing slip or bill of ladings. Uses bar code scanner and printer to properly receive, identify and distribute to appropriate storage location.
Must be knowledgeable of the safety procedures for handling hazardous substances such as acids and caustics.
Issues parts and supplies from crib as needed and fills out proper forms. Visually counts and weigh counts material.
Moves components and sub-assemblies to production or assembly areas. Verifies by part number, lot number and/or date and time.
Moves finished product from production or assembly areas, loads transport trailer or shuttle van or moves product to a storage location with lift truck. Verifies and signs completion tickets filled out by production workers.
Performs minor maintenance on trucks. Performs maintenance and safety checks on forklifts and completes record sheets. When necessary, fills LP gas tanks.
Maintains housekeeping and orderliness in assigned areas, performs, and completes the 5”s assignments.
Must know proper methods in loading and unloading semi-trailer and vans to minimize damage.
Ensure materials are properly secured when stored, with particular care taken with high bay racking, including (but not limited to) ensuring stretch wrap properly applied, wrapping/banding not hanging off pallets and discarding broken pallets.
Moves scrap from production or assembly areas to storage location with lift truck. Maintains inventory records on scrap. Verifies counts or weight counts material.
Orders inventory for production areas when needed from warehouse.
Operates a truck for transporting material and products between warehouse and other locations when necessary. Unloads flat beds and van trailers.
Conducts daily inventories to assure proper materials are available to support production requirements.
Assist in annual inventory in warehouse and other factory locations.
Works with supervisor to determine the most efficient method of material storage.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor.
Supporting the training and development of peers within the organization.
Perform other job tasks / duties as determined by management when requested.

Ability to recognize chemical hazardous labels.
Spill management and clean-up.
Air shutoff locations.
Capability to follow satellite accumulation rules and requirements.
Proficiency to recognize hazardous wastes in your area and manage properly.
