We are seeking to hire a graduate or a recent graduate with {1-3 years’ experience} as an analyst to join our global Physical Oil business working in a fast-paced trading environment based in Geneva. The candidate should have a strong academic background, strong problem solving and analytical skills as well as the right to work in Switzerland.
As an analyst you will be responsible for monitoring tenders and reported deals, tracking vessels, maintaining a database of naphtha facilities and maintaining/updating a supply and demand model. You will help run scenario analysis and deliver the results to the wider group. You will quickly develop proficiency in the use of Macquarie’s trading and analytics systems, which is a core competency of the role. The ability to accurately perform these tasks and effectively communicate the results is key. Helping the traders maintain and upgrade their spreadsheets and tools is also seen as a critical requirement for the role.
The candidate should demonstrate an interest in global markets (perhaps you have previous experience or have completed relevant internships) and good communication skills as the role will involve interaction with diverse teams across different regions as well as senior management. Advanced excel and programming skills, specifically python, would be an advantage. Otherwise we are open minded and encourage you to apply.
