Java Software Engineer

Java Software Engineer vacancy for our Zurich based client in the financial sector.

Your Tasks

• Designing, implementing and testing software solutions in the area of engineering, origination, marketing, life cycle management and trading financial instruments
• Working closely with the development teams and business in an agile environment
• Integrating best-practices and advanced technology into existing applications
• Developing and scaling strategies and guidelines for Continuous Integration systems
• Improving CI/CD tools integration and full pipeline automation
• Taking on 2nd and 3rd level support tasks and ensuring flawless application operation

Your Experience/knowledge

• Several years of experience in Application Architecture and Design
• Proficiency with Java 17/21, Spring/Boot, Spring Data/JPA, Hibernate, OpenAPI/Swagger, SSE/WebSockets
• Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and design
• Good grasp of messaging solutions like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Hands-on competency with OpenShift containerization, Docker, Kubernetes
• Knowledge of distributed in-memory data grids and structures like Hazelcast or Redis
• Experience with Datamodelling and MS SQL Database as well as with life cycle management tools and IDE: Git, Maven/Gradle, GitHub/Actions, IntelliJ IDEA
