Java Engineering Intern – Adtech

We are looking for people who love content and integrating data services to improve the user experience on KAYAK and affiliates! Do you enjoy new challenges and finding how best to integrate, consume, and leverage the data provided? Individuals in this role will be responsible for those day to day activities of managing KAYAK Content and interfacing with both internal stakeholders and 3rd party vendors.

Note: this internship will preferably start in January 2023.

In this role, you will:

• Integrate with partner web services and data feeds to acquire content Improve the data framework to make this as efficient and as automated as possible
• Build and Enhancing APIs and Services for use within KAYAK
• Triage Partner data feeds and assisting Content Specialists with data issues.

• Class Focuses: Data Structures, Algorithms, Computer Architecture, Relational Database
• Java 8+ Experience is necessary
• Good Organization Skills
• Experience with web service frameworks (REST, SOAP, RPC)
• Java Framework Library familiarity
• Spring Frameworks ( MVC, AOP, Boot)
• Mybatis
• Mockito, JUnit
• Unix shell scripting experience
• Experience with MySQL & Small-Medium Databases
• Passionate about data
• Enthusiasm for code quality, rigor in testing.
• High energy, hungry to learn, not afraid to ask questions
• Excellent technical communication skills.
