You will be responsible for the IT desk, the key duties will be to support the use of IT through the maintenance of software, hardware, and related equipment, and provide support to staff to ensure administration and outcomes are maximized, whilst providing some training and coaching for staff to up-skill and enable access to systems, and support with accessing IT resources.
To be suitable for the role you will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English
- Experience operating Office 365 and Active Directory
- Experienced with computer builds and password resets etc.
- Motivated with the ability to work independently, effectively, and efficiently
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Able to work using own initiative
- Be tactful and diplomatic when dealing with sensitive information and matters
Main Responsibilities
- Install and maintain computer hardware, clients, laptops, audio/visual equipment, and peripherals.
- Support in the management of the inventory of IT equipment and ensure it is up to date
- Carry out routine administration including data backups and Active Directory maintenance.
- Support in the maintenance of a disaster recovery plan, including testing.
- Carry out software installation, maintenance, and upgrading in line with the Development Policy.
- Ensure that computer workstation images are kept up to date.
- Keep abreast of technological developments and encourage the use of IT at all levels
