PURPOSE OF POSITION:

ARK Group is currently looking for an IT Manager. You will have overall responsibility for ARK Group’s tenant, relationship with our CSP and drive IT innovation by identifying, selecting and managing third party service providers able to maintain, improve or replace our suite of business applications and automations. The IT Manager will also act as Information Security Manager as part of ARK’s ISO 27001 Information Management Security System (ISMS).

The ideal candidate will have a strong and proven IT managerial, strategic, and operational track record that will help make a real difference both to the way we support our project teams and manage relationships with external stakeholders. Strong project and stakeholder management skills would be highly regarded as would current knowledge of the ERP market, business application development and the ISO 27001 process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Management of ARK’s IT infrastructure and the delivery of the IT Service, Information and Technology projects and strategies. Ensure ARK’s Cyber Security profile responds appropriately to the threat.
  • Assess business requirements and current business systems and formulate recommendations to address gaps or inadequate systems. Where desirable and adapted, suggest strategic partnerships with external business application developers for the creation and maintenance of bespoke company systems (Microsoft Power Platform).
  • Maintain and implement the organisations’ information and technology strategies in line with the organisation’s requirements. This includes compliance with the ISO 27001 certification.
  • Engage with all departments, services, and the international teams to define their information and technology requirements and assist them to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Ensure highest international standards of cyber security to ensure effective systems are in place both to protect against and to monitor for potential or actual data loss or security breaches.

Other Responsibilities

  • Any other duties as required which are deemed appropriate to the level and grade of the post.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and developments.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to ARK’s staff in all IT matters in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all risks are appropriately managed for your area of responsibility including but not limited to, keeping the Risk Register up to date and conducting IT risk assessments.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure.
  • Knowledge of the ISO 27001 process and responsibilities of the Information Security Manager
  • Knowledge of Microsoft’s Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Solutions deployment).
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness to undertake international travel, regularly visiting ARK Group offices.
  • 5 years + professional experience in relevant IT management roles.

Desirable skills and experience:

  • Experience in the international development sector.
  • Experience working in the MENA region.
  • Experience working in government.
