IT infrastructure support manager

The IT Platform Infrastructure Department is responsible for the global support of enterprise systems (infrastructure and platforms for enterprise applications) in a large international company. You will lead a team aimed at improving the resiliency, reliability and availability of infrastructure services.

Responsibilities

• Leading of small system administrators’ team. Tasks management, prioritizing, teammates mentoring.
• Technical support of the server infrastructure – installation, configuration, maintenance of Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019 servers; data storage systems on hard disks and tape media, APC power supply systems.
• Administration of corporate services, web applications and financial systems operating in 24×7 mode, support for IIS, Tomcat, MS SQL 2008 R2/2012/2014/2017 components.
• Management of virtual machines on virtualization systems based on MS Hyper-V, understanding the principles of building fault-tolerant systems.
• Management of backup systems based on Veeam Backup and Replication. Configuring tape libraries and disk storage systems.
• Configuring corporate services: Terminal Services, managing mailboxes and MS Exchange distribution groups, configuring file and print servers.
• Interaction with corporate systems development groups, participation in the processes of their deployment and updating.
• Fast and adequate resolution of incidents and problems arising in the infrastructure.
• Independent search and structuring of the necessary information, documentation.

Skills

Must have

• Proven experience of leading the small-medium sized team of engineers.
• Experience in administration of Windows workstations and servers (main roles) 4 years
• Strong knowledge of Hyper-V virtualization technology (VMWare) 4 years
• Experience in supporting highly loaded systems running on IIS (knowledge of Apache, Tomcat is a big plus)
• Experience in supporting server applications 1C 2 years
• Experience in supporting Microsoft SQL Server DBMS, installation, configuration, backup tasks, database maintenance, problem solving, clustering, ability to write SQL queries (Not DBA).
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell
• Knowledge of MS Office package 3 years
• Mandatory experience with backup systems, tape libraries, and Veeam or Acronis software 2-3 years

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Agile
• Good understanding of network technologies (routing, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
• Strategical thinking, ability to properly define and control tasks
