Job Purpose
IT Help Desk Assistant monitors and maintains the computer systems and networks. S/He installs and configures computer systems, diagnose hardware and software faults, and solves technical and application problems.
Key Responsibilities
IT Help Desk Assistant is mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them.
- To install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
- To monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
- To troubleshoot system and network problems and diagnose and solve hardware or software faults.
- To replace parts as required.
- To provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- To support the roll-out of new applications.
- To set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues.
- To test and evaluate new technology.
- To conduct electrical safety checks on computer equipment.
- To ensure all PCs are up to MWL standards with standard applications and anti-virus software.
- To ensure IT Policy and annexes are applied.
- To ensure all laptops and tablets are locked and encrypted, up to date, and working probably.
- PCs, printers, scanners, and any IT devices, are to be maintained to a high standard.
- To maintain system capability by testing Servers, internet, and network components.
- To manage User accounts on the office 365 admin center
- To update the IT trackers for assets changes and accounts setup
- To ensure IT equipment are maintained, assets such as servers, wire, and wireless devices are checked regularly for alert/issues and that environment the equipment is kept in is maintained (in terms of Air conditioning, etc.)
- To ensure all filters and roles for internet firewall and security are working probably and updated in case require
- To ensure cloud backups are applied to laptops and synchronized with SharePoint or MWL standards backup platforms.
- To manage the local network for IP and routing configuration
- To carry out work outside of office hours where necessary to do so.
Note: the above-mentioned key responsibilities/accountabilities are illustrative ones. Other future responsibilities/accountabilities may be assigned to the job depending on the department’s organizational chart.
Qualification (Education/Work Experience/Languages)
Essential:
- Diploma’s degree in Information Technology or any related field.
- Two years of work experience in information technology issues.
- Good command of Arabic language (4 Skills)
- Good command of the English language (4 Skills)
- Ability to work in Turkey legally.
Preferable:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any related fields.
- Four years of work experience in information technology issues.
- Good command of Turkish language (4 Skills)
- Turkish Nationality
