This role will be responsible for co-ordinating IT procurement activities and interfacing with the business, the wider IT team and Leonardo procurement to ensure that hardware, software and project consultancy is delivered to meet the growing business requirements. You will have a key role in helping to deliver a smooth IT service to the Leonardo business.

What you will do

• Be responsible for timely software licence purchase and renewal to ensure the Leonardo UK business has continual access to software without impact to programmes
• Develop effective relationships with key business stakeholders to deliver their software licencing requirements and to promote their awareness of the sourcing process
• Take responsibility for ensuring that Purchase Requisitions for major purchases of IT hardware, software, project labour and consultancy are raised in a timely manner
• Interface with the Leonardo procurement function to ensure that orders are processed efficiently
• Report on the progress of procurement activities
• Support the IT Commercial Manager with monitoring IT Provider performance and ensuring IT Providers meet contractual obligations
• Identify and support improvement opportunities in IT procurement and IT commercial processes
• To investigate and propose commercial opportunities for cost savings, e.g. S/W licencing /maintenance rationalisation
