Roles & Responsibilities Will Include The Following
Ownership of the IP Division
- Build, manage and expand the IP division at LINKVIVA.
- Develop and oversee the company’s intellectual property strategy.
- Identify the right category matrix for the IP’s – Sports, F&B, Lifestyle etc.
- Initiate, influence and enhance the intellectual property (IP) and translation skills and capability of internal stakeholders through education and training programmes, including high level IP searching skills and database.
- Leading and managing the execution of IP from R&D, ideation, conceptualization to final execution and post completion reports. Including but not limited to working with internal/external stakeholders.
- Presenting and selling the IP concepts to potential investors or stakeholders.
Commercial & Marketing Expertise
- Managing the sponsorship team to create the right strategy and sponsorship matrix.
- Create revenue generating opportunities through strategic partnerships and collaborations and/or identifying other revenue generation streams
- Managing the budget to ensure profitability.
- Manage the P&L for the division.
- Ensuring right marketing strategy pre and post event to create impact.
- Managing the marketing team/ partners to ensure effective marketing plan and execution.
Portfolio Management
- Coordinate with all outside patent counsel related to patent filings and prosecution and oversee all inventor’s meetings related to those processes.
- Responsible for day-to-day management of the IP portfolio, its maintenance and docketing on behalf of the participating institutions.
- Develop and maintain a database and an interface system to manage intellectual property.
Requirements
Key Attributes:
- Professional skill and knowledge of intellectual property, market research and commercialisation.
- Demonstrated success in strategic project management including planning, resource allocation, communication, implementation, negotiation, evaluation and reporting
- Experienced in communicating and educating diverse groups in intellectual property matters
- High level of interpersonal communication including the ability to consult with senior executives, external bodies, negotiate agreed directions, outcomes and targets within a collaborative environment in a complex organisation
- Demonstrated personal leadership to exercise judgement based on perceptive and analytical processes.
- Ability to develop strategic plans necessary to provide a strong IP position for the Company’s products and clearly articulate those plans to senior management
- Independent and self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to drive a project to completion.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills – must be able to communicate clearly both within the organization and externally to drive projects forward
- Collaborative personality with strong interpersonal skills
- Must be fluent in written and spoken French and English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
