Here’s where you come in:

As the Investigation Specialist, reporting to the Middle East/Eastern Europe Region (MEER)Risk & Compliance Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting Regional Office (RO) and Field Office (FO) management in conducting accurate and high- quality investigations in a timely manner to enable WV to achieve its objectives. You will be expected to conduct high level investigations on an as needed basis at the discretion of the Regional Oversight Committee. In addition to occasionally conducting investigations, you will be expected to participate and contribute to the Regional Oversight Committee to ensure the following processes and functions are operating in line with organisational guidance: Triage and assessment of incoming complaints, assignment of investigations to FO staff, designated staff are staying current on investigations training, and to maintain a ‘case tracker’ of open and active cases within the region which should be regularly reported to the MEER Risk & Compliance Advisor and the Regional Oversight Committee.

Requirements include:

  • Strong investigation, research and analytical skills
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as a workplace investigator (desired)
  • Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong interpersonal and working relationships in a dispersed virtual, international context.
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • A track record in providing strategic and tactical advice and direction to investigations being conducted by others.
  • Experience engaging and working with a wide range of senior leadership level stakeholders with sensitivity and tact
  • Certified Investigator (any internationally recognised certification is acceptable) is desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in law, International Relations, Humanitarian Studies or a related field
  • Excellent English language skills (oral and written). Fluency in a language other than English considered an asset (Arabic preferred)
