EMPLOYMENT:
We are currently looking for individuals who are willing to learn our unique business in our manufacturing facility. We offer on the job training. Our goal is to hire dedicated, responsible individuals who are looking for a potential career at Interprint. Must be 18 years old to apply.
HOURS:
6:00p.m.-6:00a.m. Monday – Thursday, final shift ends Friday morning. Please note: Thursday shifts subject to change based on business need, current staff is leaving at 3:00am Friday morning.
Lab Tech Wage Scale: (Including $1.50 shift differential for night shift)
Lab Tech I: $19.50
Lab Tech II: $20.50
Additional rate increases as you learn the skills necessary to become a Color Stylist. Ask for details!
JOB DUTIES:Prepares work to be accomplished by reviewing job information; assembling materials.
Prepares Lab press for use by loading stock; changing press rolls ; changing cylinders; adjusting doctor blades; filling ink pans.
Establishes quality by pulling proof; learning color-matching techniques; mixing and testing viscosity and pH levels; registering job; proofing cylinders; preparing high and low pressure laminates to customer specifications.
Maintains production and quality by monitoring output; adjusting and recording tension settings, heating settings and press roll pressure settings; learning lab press controls; flushing ink; polishing cylinders; changing doctor blades; making normal splices; recognizing and correcting defects; repairing web breaks; obtaining ink and paper samples; providing all necessary information to replacement shift.
Prepares for next work order by cleaning equipment and mix area; washing cylinders and ink pans; inspecting cylinders; returning cylinders to rack area; returning base paper to inventory; getting cylinders for next job; bringing cylinders to press; getting paper.
Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
Maintains supply inventory by cutting laminating materials, windows, separates, base paper samples; operating lift trucks.
Maintains clean work area by mopping spills; picking up and disposing of waste; emptying full trash containers; laying paper on floor.
Contributes to team effort by serving as back-up to color stylist after sufficient training; accomplishing related tasks as needed; assisting other lab crews during web breaks, wash-ups, etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for start of shift.
Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
Communicates well with others.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, mainly on your feet.

PREFERRED:Mechanical aptitude.
Completion of vocational training in machine shop.
Previous work experience in same or similar field.
