DRC

Are you looking for an exciting internship opportunity with one of the world’s largest NGOs? Then you might be our new intern for the fall semester 2022

Who are we?

DRC Safety unit is responsible for DRC’s global safety set up and trainings. The team currently consists of 4 HQ staff, 2 roving staff with an additional global set-up of over 25 Regional and Country Safety Advisors. In extension we maintain a safety roster with members from across the world ready to be deployed to DRC programs or partner projects.

We provide a range of opportunities and support for external companies and other organizations to implement safety procedures on both a strategic organizational level and through training in personal safety for employees. The training courses include a broad range of modules and services from practical training of staff who visit or live abroad through their profession – to assistance on strategic Risk Management and Safety Management set-up. In addition, we are a part of leading the Danish Interagency Safety Network (DISN), consisting of over 30 large and small Danish NGOs.

About the internship

The intern will become part of the Safety Team and will assist a supervisor in the daily work. The duties and tasks will consist of mainly administrative and practical tasks related to safety trainings and will include, but not be limited to:

● Support in participant management for safety trainings

● Support in administrative tasks for hired consultants including contract preparation and travel arrangements

● Support in payment management

● Ad hoc administrative tasks, i.e. filling forms for invoices, creating certificates for training participants etc.

● Ad hoc practical tasks, meeting support etc.

We offer flexibility in the type of tasks, so you also have the possibility to influence the tasks, subject to what is relevant for your study programme.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to be able to work independently as well as in a team. Additionally, the position requires you to work systematically with the tasks that you are responsible for and having an eye for details.

● Be enrolled at a university

● Have completed a minimum of one year of higher education

● Be fluent in spoken and written English
