Are you looking for an exciting internship opportunity with one of the world’s largest NGOs? Are you interested in planning an event and finding efficiencies that can meet the demands of an organisation? Then you might be our new intern for the fall semester.

Who are we?

The internship position is a part of the Policy, Process and Quality Team, which consists of 5 colleagues, under the Financial Reporting and Compliance Unit. The combined work of the Unit ensures that the financial management of the organisation and external stakeholder commitments can be met.

About the internship

The purpose of the internship is to support DRC in the analysis and review of financial processes as well as in the planning in one of its global annual conferences. The internship will thus include the following main responsibilities:

· Assist in the development and documentation of new processes

· Internal communication and roll-out of defined guidelines

· Support the planning of the annual conference for DRC’s Head of Support Services

· Possibility to support on an e-learning course or/and virtual webinar

· Smaller administrative tasks, such as the maintenance and editing of DRC internal Sharepoint Site for the Unit

We offer flexibility in the type of tasks, so you also have the possibility to influence the tasks, subject to what is relevant for your study programme.

About you

To be successful in this role we expect you to be able to work independently but to also enjoy collaborating with others in a team. The internship position requires of you to work in a structured manner and to have an eye for details. You are someone that is not afraid to ask questions and is motivated working with different cultures and ways of working.

All employees and interns in DRC should master DRC’s core competencies: Communicating, Taking the lead, Collaborating, Striving for excellence and Demonstrating integrity.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

· Interest in humanitarian assistance and development

· Good interpersonal and communication skills

· IT skills and competent navigation on digital platforms

· Experienced user of O365 applications

· Fluent in spoken and written English

It is a requirement that you are enrolled in a university in order to be considered for the internship.

We offer

Contract length: 4-6 months subject to study requirements and further dialogue

Workplace: DRC Headquarters located Borgergade 10, Copenhagen

Start date: 15th of August 2022.

Working hours: Approximately 30 hours per week, subject to study requirements and further dialogue. We offer flexibility when you have study obligations next to the internship.

The internship is unpaid. Instead we offer:

· 2,08 (unpaid) vacation days per month. The days can either be spent as you earn them or be accumulated

· Free lunch in our canteen (subject to our canteen being open)

· Free participation in our year-end party

Please note that if you do not have the right to work in Denmark (through nationality or existing work visa), you will need to apply for it if selected for the internship.
