Internship Job Title: People Analytics Internship- Data Analyst Intern NOTE: Internship is for Summer 2023. You must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program at the time of the internship. This role is also not eligible for continued sponsorship. What is special about this team: The People Analytics team supports the Global Human Resources organization by providing people-related insights that inform business decisions. Working on this team will offer an opportunity to provide data and insights that inform employee programming, employee engagement, and further shape the business using people insights. This team acts as an investigative group, working to gather key information, analyze the insights, and offer logic to advance our employees and business. If you would enjoy the challenge of mining data insights to inform people decisions, this team’s work will offer you challenge and opportunity! How would an intern contribute to the team’s success: The intern will leave with an understanding of how People Analytics plays a critical role to inform people-related decisions. They will gain real world experience in data mining and cleanup, creating machine learning models, and understanding/presenting how the data tells a story. They’ll also gain procifiency in key People Analytics tools such as: SuccessFactors, Visier, and Qualtrics. They will collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and lead analytics projects to identify solutions. An example of a typical project is: Create a model to predict employee success or resignation risk based on experience during critical moments in the employee journey. Scrape and analyze text from sources to predict employee achievement and resignation risk. As part of an HR Center of Excellence, work with global stakeholders to understand needs and execute analytical projects. What skills and background will be important to be successful in this internship? Desired Skills: Ability to transform data into a story. Demonstrated interpersonal skills through within student leadership, volunteerism, or other community involvement. Passionate and willing to learn about Amway including strategy, culture, and values. Ethusiastic, proactive, and eager to tackle new projects, share new ideas, be agile, and attentive to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Professional and clear written and verbal communication skills. Strong interest in data analytics and robust analytical skills in Python, Excel, Tableau, Alteryx, and/or SAS. Desired Degree: Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Research, or equivalent.
