Your Responsibilities
- Contribute to current research projects focusing on innovative metal-based materials and manufacturing processes
- Develop and optimize material manufacturing processes on the lab-scale
- Analyze the produced materials or engineering prototypes with various characterization techniques to obtain a good understanding of the relationship between process parameters, microstructure, and material characteristics
- Evaluate and document findings and present test results to the team
Your background
- Currently pursuing a degree in Materials Science/Engineering or a related discipline (completion of at least six semesters); official enrollment is essential
- Broad understanding of metallic and composite materials
- Familiarity or experience with additive manufacturing
- Basic knowledge in powder technology or engineering design and software tools (CAD etc.) is of advantage
- Experience in laboratory work and know-how in experimental methods
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated mindset and ability to work independently
- Highly conscientious individual with keen sense of responsibility
- Fluent command of English, both written and spoken
