Position title: Internship for HR Intern – HRIS & Personnel Administration

Duration: OIE intern – 6 months

Context
The World Organisation for Animal Health, previously known as the “Office international des epizooties” (OIE), was created on 25 January 1924. Its headquarters are in Paris. The OIE comprises 182 Member Countries and is present on all continents through 12 (Sub-) Regional Representations. The OIE is in charge of improving animal health, veterinary public health and animal welfare worldwide, as well as transparency of the global animal disease situation. The OIE is furthermore recognised by the World Trade Organization as the reference organisation for intergovernmental standards concerning the sanitary safety of international trade of animals and products of animal origin and zoonoses. The OIE is looking for a motivated intern for an internship to temporarily assist the HR team in the implementation of a new HRIS and the optimisation of internal procedures regarding onboarding and personnel administration The various missions that will be entrusted to the intern will give him/her the opportunity to get familiar with the HR function within an international non-profit organization.

Positioning and reporting
The intern will be under the supervision of the Head of the HR Unitand in collaboration with relevant staff within the Administration department and across other OIE departments and regions.

Internship role and activities
The Intern will participate in the following activities: In view to the implementation of the new HRIS Participation in the preparation, collection, ordering of HR data and files In view of optimizing the internal procedure relating to personnel management (special focus on New Hires at the HQ and in the Regions Operational support to On-boarding procedure (Work authorizations, registrations to Heath insurance/etc.)Participation in the simplification of the administrative procedureSummarizing most frequently used onboarding documentation (for Foreign Staff at HQ in priority) Depending on the profile, additional missions may be added. Upon completion of the internship, the intern will provide a final report summarising activities undertaken and follow-up actions required.

Required Skills and ExperienceEducation**
Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements: higher education (Bac + 2/ 3) in HR (personnel administration) ideally, you have at least one significant experience in HR (internship) Requirements
*Technical skills*
Knowledge of HR policies and proceduresOrganizational skills Very good communication skills in French and English (verbal, written)
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office management, Excel Additional language skills
Spanish is an asset ***Behavioural Competencies***
Genuinely curious and engage in the work and mandate of the OIE;
Courtesy and ability to establish and maintain good working relations in a multinational and multicultural environment;
Ability to work well as part of a team.

Internship conditions
The intern is not expected to travel during the assignment. This is a full-time internship based in Paris, France. The intern will be expected to participate in virtual meetings, as well as other OIE meetings of interest. Guidance will be provided on a regular basis. The maximum internship duration is 6 months; The intern must provide proof of enrolment in health insurance plan;
