ING Wholesale Banking FI has a leading position in providing Financial Markets, Lending, Payments & Capital Markets services to Dutch and Scandinavian Financial Institutions. Clients consist of banks, insurance companies, pension funds, asset managers, trust offices and fintechs.
In order to facilitate the services to our clients and to ensure a safe and compliant bank, so-called Know Your Customer (KYC) Due Diligence must be completed. This will be a significant part of the internship. Next to the KYC you will work along with a relationship manager and be jointly responsible for the commercial and operational performance of the Team. You will closely work together with several different departments in a team of eight.
Job Description
- Assisting in the KYC review of existing and new ING clients including CRS/ FATCA reviews
- Follow-up on actions taken within ING with regard to the review processes
- Depending on need, providing assistance to relationship managers in marketing efforts and assisting with the preparation for calls and client visits
- Other activities or projects can be part of the assignment
- This internship provides an opportunity to learn about wholesale banking and its products
Your work environment
- FI services an international customer group. Within the team, English is the main langue spoken and correspondence internally is mainly in English and Dutch
- Within our department there is an open and informal culture
- It is important that KYC is in order to facilitate existing and new business for the different product groups. You will play an important role in this
- You will have frequent contact with various departments within ING and, in cooperation with the relationship managers, sometimes with external relations
Who we are looking for?
- Ambitious personality in latter part of his/her Bachelor or Master studies
- This internship is particularly suited for team players with organizational skills, eye for detail and entrepreneurial/commercial drive combined with an ability to perform under tight deadlines
- Proactive, self-starting with problem solving capabilities
- Accurate and results-oriented
- Solid computer skills, mainly Microsoft office and ING applications
- Fluent in English. Dutch is not required but beneficial
- Familiarity with financial products or financial institutions is a plus
- Candidate should be enrolled as a student with a Dutch University during the whole internship
