Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic full-time Finance Controlling Intern who can support the international Health Finance team across the France – Benelux Cluster.

We are looking for someone who can start from January 2023 (negotiable) at our office in Anderlecht (2-3 days a week) and working the rest of the week from home, for a period of 6-9 months and wants to develop in the various aspects of finance. Our ideal candidate is flexible, adaptable to the changes in our environment, not afraid to voice your own ideas and have a hands-on approach in solving issues. Being part of the Finance team in our international and vibrant company is a unique learning experience and a great way to kick off your finance career due to the exposure and varying experience.

Key Responsibilities

Activities

  • Steering of fixed costs: Structural and functional costs linked to the departments such as personnel costs, buildings, and tools…
  • Analysing the gap between actuals and budgets and understanding the reasons for variances by interacting with the various departments.
  • Management and follow-up of Purchase Orders (PO): monthly follow-up of Purchase Orders, so as to ensure that they are charged to the correct cost centres, as well as to validate the expenses are well planned in the budgets and validated during discussions with the departments.
  • Management of monthly entries during month end process.

Reporting follow-up

  • Creating and monitoring SAP reports
  • Provide support for Group presentations on CFC: work on presentation materials requested by the Group, reflecting the analyses carried out over the month and providing comments.
  • Extract the monthly reports to transmit to the department teams, the financial elements for the follow-up of the monthly budget.

You’ll succeed because…

  • Are currently in your Bachelors or Master studies in Economics, Finance, Business, and/or Accounting, or recently graduated
  • Rigorous, reliable, analytical, you have excellent interpersonal skills that allow you to work directly in a team. You have real communication and analytical skills.
  • Love crunching numbers and possess excellent analytical skills
  • Have proven skills working with MS Excel
  • Have strong English skills (verbal and written). French is a plus
  • Are not easily thrown off and like to explore unbeaten paths
  • Have a good sense of humour
