Therapeutic modalities (TMo) is a global function within Roche Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED). We enable discovery and early development of drug candidates in a rich portfolio of small molecules, large molecules, oligonucleotides and gene therapies in oncology, immunology, neuroscience, ophthalmology, rare and infectious diseases.

We are seeking a talented and motivated student to work on the interface of functional genomics and cellular imaging to elucidate the complex mechanism of anti-sense oligonucleotide (ASO) trafficking. The project aims to improve the use of ASO therapeutics in patients by investigating the underlying determinants of ASO potency.

In this position, you will

  • Cultivate mammalian cells
  • Use CRISPR/Cas9 technology
  • Design and perform functional assays
  • Use state-of-the-art microscopes

Who You Are
You are an enrolled student in a Master program with experience in cell biology.

Moreover, you are/have:

  • Interested/experienced in CRISPR-Cas9
  • Interested/experienced in advanced microscope techniques
  • Passionate for working in a dynamic and team environment
  • Looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies
