Responsibilities

This role will join Minnesota Power’s Business Systems Analyst group within the Transmission & Distribution department to:

• Utilize Microsoft Power BI to develop and maintain data reports
• Generate, load and extract data from multiple source systems
• Perform analysis to assess the quality and integrity of the data
• Reconcile data between various databases
• Assist with various data/system projects as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program OR a Master’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2023 and June 2025.
• Preferred majors include: Math, Analytics, Business, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Management Information Systems, or Computer Science
• Strong mathematical problem-solving skills
• A passion for analytics
• The ability to be flexible and handle multiple work projects and priorities
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
• Curiosity to learn about how things work and how to improve them
• Candidates may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, or aptitude

DETAILS & DURATION OF INTERNSHIP:

• This internship will report in person to Duluth, MN
• This role is expected to begin June 2023
• The internship will be full time during summer and will extend to a part time basis during academic terms with the possibility of extending until graduation
• ALLETE will comply with college requirements
• Hours and duration are subject to change based on company needs
