Internship as Back-end Developer 100% with prospect of permanent employment

greenTEG offers high-tech thermal sensing solutions for an international customer base. Our unique core body temperature measurement solution (CALERA®) for wearables enables customers a wide range of innovative applications such as improving sports performance, continuous and non-invasive patient monitoring, sleep

analysis or early detection of diseases. We develop, manufacture, and market all

our heat flux sensing solutions at our headquarters in Zürich-Rümlang.

To further develop our thermophysiological data platform and to create new features for our customers, we are looking for a motivated back-end developer with a flair for interdisciplinary collaboration. Your contributions will have direct impact on the product roadmap.

Tasks

As part of the R&D team, you will

• Get to know and maintain the existing backend of our CALERA platform
• Manage the database and server infrastructure
• Contribute to the database schema and API layer
• Implement new features and technologies in close collaboration with our mobile app team, front-end team, and data science team
• Help growing our user base and open new possibilities by interfacing our platform to popular third-party clouds, such as Garmin Connect and Apple Health
• Update and extend our technical documentation
• Contribute your knowledge to other projects within the company

Requirements

You have a background in electrical engineering, computer science or related field and you are looking for an internship of 6 months with the prospect of permanent employment in an entrepreneurial atmosphere within a mature start-up.

You have previous experience in cloud system design for scalable data handling and processing as well as API design using web frameworks like Express. Familiarity with Firebase and Google Cloud Platform is a plus. You know SQL and JavaScript/Typescript/Node.js.

You have basic knowledge of network/web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTPS, OAuth, REST, graphQL), Linux server management and Docker containerization & deployment.

Ideally, you have basic proficiency in Python and have used GitLab for version control and CI/CD before.

You like to tackle technical challenges and have a structured way of working. You are a fast learner and enjoy working with other people within a team.

You have native or equivalent proficiency in English.

You have swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship or a valid work permitt for Switzerland.
