Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) provides medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Our teams are made up of tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff – bound together by our charter. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality.

We are always looking for qualified medical and non-medical staff who are willing to work overseas in MSF missions and to put their skills at the service of those most in need, for employment opportunities located outside of Jordan. Below are the positions urgently needed and the specific requirements for each.

Medical profiles

Specialized Doctors (General Surgeons, Gynecologists, Anesthetists & Psychiatrists) – short term assignments for 4 to 6 weeks

Specific requirements for this role:

  • Full board certificate issued from Ministry of Health

  • Minimum 4 years or experience in the specialization

Medical Doctors:

Specific requirements for this role:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a Medical Doctor or in clinical work. Desirable in tropical medicine, or post-registration experience in Public Health , obs and gynae, pediatrics, A&E, infectious diseases, HIV/AIDS/STDs, TB, general practice, general medicine or minor surgery.
  • Managerial experience is required

Midwife Activity Managers

Specific requirements for this role:

  • License to practice issued from Ministry of Health

  • Bachelor degree is a must

  • Managerial experience as a Midwife Supervisor or Manager is required

Mental Health Activity Managers

Specific requirements for this role:

  • License to practice issued from Ministry of Health

  • Managerial experience is required

Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Managers

Specific requirements for this role:

  • Essential education in Nursing / MD / Epidemiology / Pharmacy

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in IPC in a hospital setting

  • Managerial experience is required

Health Promotion Managers

Specific requirements for this role:

  • Essential education in paramedical or psychological sciences

  • Previous experience in medical environment is a must

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in similar position

  • Managerial experience is required

Non-Medical positions:

Field Coordinators

Specific requirements for this role:

  • Essential working experience of at least 4 years in relevant similar jobs in other NGO’s, in different contexts in developing countries

  • Desirable degree in project management

  • Extensive experience in people management is required

Water & Sanitation (WatSan) Managers

Specific requirements for this role:

  • Academic background in engineering

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years of previous experience in technical aspects of water and sanitation works. And minimum of 6-months of hands on field emergency WHS professional experience in a humanitarian or international development setting

  • Managerial experience is required

General requirements for all positions:

  • Fluency in English and Arabic. French and Spanish are a plus

  • Previous experience in developing contexts and former work with international humanitarian organizations is preferable

  • For healthcare staff, full and current registration with the relevant association/syndicate is required (e.g. medical association)

  • Availability: 9-12 months, except for professionals working in the Operating Theater, Emergency Doctors, Specialized Doctors & ICU specialists

  • Ability to work with limited resources and in difficult conditions

Working conditions:

  • Salary based on skills and experience according to MSF international salary policy
  • We provide per diem allowance and cover living expenses, Accommodation and International health insurance
