International Development Specialist

Overall Job Purpose

As part of board, The International Development Specialist will support the internationalization process of ITF.

Responsibilities:

• As a member of the board, participate in board meetings and contribute to the overall development of ITF.

• Review ITF’s internationalization strategy and provide technical expertise on multi-country project design.

• Advice on relationship-building, marketing, and communication techniques to raise the profile of ITF globally.

• Support the organization’s initiatives through actively seeking partners and donors

• Provide advice and feedback to the secretariat on the development framework for partnership agreements that can increase opportunities.

• Coach and mentor the international relations team through capacity building programmes and any other way deemed necessary.

Qualifications:

• Degree in a relevant discipline (such as International Development, Law, Political Science, Communications or International Relations is required)

• Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience with an international organization

• Experience in developing and executing partnership and programme development plans.

• Knowledge on proposal writing and project acquisition.

• Programme and project management experience within a complex reform environment.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to think independently and work collaboratively

• Sufficient time to devote and volunteer as a member of the Board

• Must be between 25 – 35 years of age.
